A Simple Spring Look in the Kitchen

Have you seen my home decor room that Deb got all set up for me?  I realize not everyone has a huge empty storage room, as this is our first space like this.  But, I highly recommend having all of your extra home decor in a specific space like a closet, a cabinet, etc.  I used to have all of my extras tucked in our antique pieces that were in our home.  That meant that every time I was looking for something to decorate a space, I walked through the house to each cabinet.  With this home decor room, it’s all there in the open for me to see.  It feels like Christmas with every load we bring from the storage unit, too.  I recently found several spring items that I totally forgot that I had and created a simple spring look in the kitchen.

A Simple Spring Look in the Kitchen

First off…

Remember.. We both love our spaces full.  When I have my pretties displayed, it feels cozier to me.  I realize some of you don’t like items setting on your counters, but we do.  I do, however, like to display our every day items within our decor because I find them pretty as well.  For example, these little gold spoons.

Secondly….

I find beauty in every day items and I wanted to share a few of those with you before getting to the spring items. We LOVE these spoons to taste test our meals, take a little bite of peanut butter for a snack, and stir cream in our afternoon coffee.  We only drink cream in our coffee if we make it in the afternoon.  It’s a treat!

The same goes for these antique looking beeswax birthday candles.  They are not only handy for last minute celebrations, but I love the way they look.  They come in so many different bundles, from 50-700.  This is a bundle of 50.

Did you see my post on different ways to style cake plates?  This is one way I love to style them.  Add a stack of your every day dishes because they are pretty, too.  These happen to be a stack of my vintage ones on this wood and marble cake stand, which is one of my favorites.

This butter dish is under $6 and is so fabulous.  If you are a woods and whites girl, this is such a great deal and adds so much to your kitchen.

Thirdly….

Let’s get to the spring decor here in the kitchen.  When I think of spring, I think of green plants and bunnies.  You know by now, that I have to have all artificial plants in this house.  I gave up with the real ones years ago.  So by adding both of those items, it gives you such a great look for spring.  I shared all of the sources for everything that I could link below.

I hope this gave you a few ideas for you own spaces as that is why I love sharing this with you. I don’t say it enough… but thank you for stopping by debanddanelle.com.  I appreciate it more than you know.

  • I love, love following along with you everyday, several times a day! I’m always checking you out as I love the woods and whites, also. I’m loving your storage room! What I wouldn’t do to have that space! I love how you accomplish something every single day. I’m like you guys and want to see a finished project. I, too, am a thrifter but have much less space than you guys. But, I’m the Deb and Danelle together! Lucky you!

  • I am loving your bedding I live in a small town and it is very hard to find nice bedding. Would you please show some links to some nice bedding things. congratulations on your new build absolutely gorgeous i know that you are both so proud my Sundays consist of Deb and Danella you two should have your own place on HGTV .

  • I absolutely love your bar stools. Are they vintage? Or do I have a pray at finding them retail somewhere. So glad to have found you and your posts. Dreamy, cozy, soft, fresh and inspiring. Thanks so much!
