Adding Artificial Spring Flowers to the Kitchen

Spring in the Kitchen-Flower Arrangement - Deb and DanelleSpring in the Kitchen-Flower Arrangement - Deb and Danelle

Well.. it’s that time.  I am ready to start adding a little spring to our rooms.  I go through a period of time after Christmas that I have no desire to do much in the way of home decor.  We go all out for Christmas so I think I need a little break.  I was recently browsing online to get some type of inspiration for spring.  And, I found these gorgeous artificial flowers.  So I thought I would throw together a simple arrangement and add it to the kitchen island.

I am not going to lie… I really wasn’t into it.  Deb and I are still struggling with some cold symptoms from Covid.  (6 weeks) I still have terrible sinus drainage and a cough. Deb has a sore throat and sinus.  But, I made myself do it and it literally took 5 minutes.  I walked by it when it was done and it made me so happy and gave me a little spark of energy.

So here we go….

Adding Artificial Spring Flowers to the Kitchen

This literally took five minutes.  I started with this antique looking pitcher and added a piece of floral foam.  And, then started layering a few floral stems.  I believe there are 8 stems TOTAL just for reference.

I LOVE and chose hops stems.  The ones I have here were low in stock.   So if they are gone, search “artificial hops stems,” you may be able to find them elsewhere.  And I ended up adding a few apple blossom stems.  The stems were long so I ended up cutting a lot of the end off, leaving a few longer to give this little spring arrangements a whispy look.

To complete this little grouping on the kitchen island…

I added this wood charger to set my flower arrangement on.  And, of course, added a candlestick because I always do.  This particular one is also out of stock and rarely available.  My glass jar of coffee beans was added for a different texture and because we use this every day.  So, it’s easy to grab.

Tip:  Use every day items within you kitchen decor.  I love the look of this jar of coffee beans.

Did you see where I styled a little coffee corner?  And, also another little area by the sink recently?  Stay tuned for more styling sessions, because I am ready to get this cottage all deck out for spring.  Let me know if there is a particular area you want to see next.  I have a list started because I asked the same question over on social media.
