Chippy Cabinet and Table in the Laundry Room

Slowly but surely, we are getting things put together.  Every time we bring a new load over, I’m thrilled to put it away.  And get everything organized.  Did you see my home decor room?  Since I took those pictures, it looks a lot different and lot fuller.  Deb added a few more shelves for me.  And, we have taken a few more loads down there.  I recently went “shopping” in my home decor room.  It was for this little chippy cabinet and table in the laundry room that we hung last week.

Chippy Cabinet and Table in the Laundry Room

Do you remember this little cabinet? I found it on the Facebook Marketplace years ago.  I believe it was $35. It landed first in the bathroom at the House on Winchester.  There was a wall that needed something.  But it had to be very shallow.  I didn’t want to hang a picture or a mirror because I wanted it to be EXTRA.   When this little chippy cabinet popped up, I knew it would work for that space.

When we moved from that house into the rental, I hung it in the kitchen.  You can see it here in this post.  In both places, and here in the house, this little cabinet holds my collection of ironstone pitchers and creamers.  It works perfectly for this collection.

Now let’s talk about the table underneath it…

When we lived in our tiny house, around 600 square feet, we had a small little entryway.  I wanted some type of table where we could drop our keys, etc.  I visited a little antique shop in town and found two sides of a dining table that was missing the top.  I loved the shape of them.  So, I dry brushed one of them with white paint and it indeed worked for the entryway.  And, now, it works perfectly under this little chippy cabinet because it’s about the same depth as the cabinet.

Since the little table only has two legs, we secured it directly to the wall with a screw.  I added a few of my antique finds including an old clock that I found for $5 at a yard sale.  And, I included my old chalkboards that I found when I was out thrifting when my sister was here.  We have several wool dryer balls and since this is right beside our washer and dryer, I added those to an old wooden bowl.

I love this look for now, but ultimately, I wanted a full cabinet for this space.  So, you know what that will probably mean.  Deb will be making me one once her workshop is up and running.
