Creating a Trendy Look from Walmart

This blog post is written in collaboration with Walmart. Thank you so much for supporting the brands that I absolutely love! ! I have been compensated by Walmart for this post but, as always, all opinions are my own.

I have my eyes constantly PEELED for cute and trendy clothes.  Let me rephrase that.  Cute and trendy clothes that cover ALL THE FLOPPAGE.  ????????????    I go to the gym 5 days a week and work my butt off, sometimes burning almost 500 calories.  I eat a very healthy diet and enjoy a glass of wine and some vodka here and there.  I may sneak in a tootsie pop drop here and there, too, because I’m 12.  ???? My point of saying that is because I am afraid the floppage is here to stay.  Therefore…. I try to find floppage friendly clothes to cover it all up.

As I browsing Walmart’s website, I came across THE cutest dress.  And, I knew all of my friends with the middle-aged floppage would love it, too.  So…..  I decided to throw together an entire outfit head to toe, with everything from Walmart.

Creating a Trendy Look from Walmart

This dress comes in several different colors but I chose classic black.  It is so flattering and I think it would work on lots of different body types.  I love the little ruffle around the neck and sleeves which is perfect for people who may be a little self conscious of their arms.  The ruffle is lined with the cutest scalloped trim which makes it appear a little more feminine in my opinion.   And, also, kind of dresses it up a bit.   I love the hi/low ruffle around the bottom, too. It’s made out of gauzy linen fabric that is very cooling for the summer months.  It’s just an overall cute, summery, budget friendly dress!  And, it runs true to size.

I paired it with these cute cognac colored espadrille wedges that are all the rage right now.  I think wedges are cute on everyone and feel like it makes my legs look longer and thinner.  This straw purse is right up my alley, too.  I LOVE the gold metal handles and the fact it has a longer strap so I can carry it as a cross body if I want.  I grabbed a couple of hair clips to add some bling and a cute pair of sunglasses.  Oh.. .and I can’t forget the tortoise hoop earrings, which I LOVE, too.

Shipping and Pick Up

I was so excited to find such cute, budget friendly items at Walmart.  Did you know most of their items qualify for FREE SHIPPING if you spend over $35.  Also, several items can be also returned to the store.  When I am unsure of a size I will want, I will buy two sizes and return the one I don’t want.  It’s such a great thing.

If you guys like this type of post, let me know in the comments below.  I would love to do more of these.  Or you can chat with me over on Facebook and Instagram where lots of fun happens.
