New Warm-Toned Rug for our Family Room

I found a new warm-toned rug for our family room and it works perfect with our woods and whites decor.  In my opinion, it is so hard finding a warm-toned rug so I knew I just had to share.  To be honest, everywhere you look, most rugs have gray undertones, which are not for me.  I’m not a huge gray person, but you probably already know that if you have been around for awhile.  The color gray is really pretty in other people’s decor.  But, it makes me feel sad to live with it.  I truly thought I was making that up, but I ended up googling it.

Here is what I found.

Gray is a dull, moody, and sad color that affects the mind and body by causing unsettling feelings. Too much gray creates feelings of sadness and depression.

So I’m not making it up.  If you have a lot of gray or even blue in your home and feel sad a lot, check into that.  I’m assuming it is worse during the winter months if you live in an area without sunlight every day.

OK… onto our new rug in our family room.

Loloi Rug for the Family Room

This rug is from Loloi Rugs.  They have such a huge variety of styles and colors.  A lot of times, browns are different in photos than they are in person.  I ordered another rug for this area that was more of a COOL brown.  It happened to look excellent with our fireplace mantel in the dining room so that is where that one landed.  The fireplace mantel here in the family room has a warm tone to it, so the search went on.

This Loloi rug is the perfect color for this space.  Like I said, it has the perfect warm brown tones and some creamy whites.  It is SO SOFT and comes in several sizes.  This one happens to be the 13’1″ x 9’6″.  Two sides have an ivory fringed edge which adds another fun texture to our room.

I have only gotten a few new rugs for the new house and this one, by far, is my favorite.  I will be on the search for a few more and will, of course, share when I find them.

If you are a woods and whites decor person, this looks really good with that color palette.  Or if you are trying to switch over to that look, this rug is a great place to start.

  • I agree with you totally about gray and I feel the same way about blue. So glad gray seems to be fading from the scene, but blue seems to be everywhere. I love the rug and the fireplace. What fun you must be having.

    • Agreed, it is a popular take right now. I will always be a fan of white though no matter what!

  • Well, I just painted my house Grey. With accents of yellow and blue. I love it and I don’t feel depressed!

  • I ordered this rug after seeing it in your house. Delivered this morning, set up and it’s exactly what I was looking for!!! It’s beautiful!!! You never steer us wrong!!! Thanks!

    • Going to order this too!! Thank you for helping in the search for a new rug. I love mine from pottery barn its a sisal rug but honestly I can’t stand all the fibers from it. It sits on my hardwood floor & i’m forever vacuming lol. So I cannot wait for this new one to arrive!! Love all your content! I’m not always able to watch but I certainly do when I can. Your new home is amazing & all the hard work you both have put into it. I have to add I also order the hormone supplement you shared. I’m sweating as I write this & I’ll do anything just to try it!! Thanks Deb & Danelle xo

  • Love the throw you have on the white chair by the fireplace! I have the exact same one and also gave one to my bestie for Christmas. We love them!!

  • Thanks for the tip about the color grey. My whole house is decorated grey and I wonder why I’m depressed! It’s time to change things up. I love following you & Deb, I wish you many happy years in your beautiful new home.

  • I don't care for gray or blue either so that was very interesting to me. Love the rug and all your lovely decor.

  • Love the rug...but where did you get the white covers/slipcovers for the chairs etc? I'm in need of some for our 2 wing backs?
    Thanks!
