One-of-a-Kind Wooden Christmas Trees

Deb made a few little wood Christmas trees last year. And, decided to make a few more this year for a giveaway we had.  This is a cute little project that is so simple and takes so little time. This year, she made them all a little different than the ones last year.  And I thought they deserved a spot here on our website again, in case you want to make some yourself.  She used all scrap materials so this was basically a free project.  Here is how she made these one-of-a-kind wooden Christmas trees.

One-of-a-Kind Wooden Christmas Trees

This year’s trees were a lot bigger than last year’s.  But, as you can see, she cut out several triangular shapes for the trees in different sizes.  This year, she layered two triangles to make a completely different look.  Again… these are all made from scrap wood, so the sizes varied.  The bases of each tree are different as well.  She used a few blocks of wood and parts of an old spindle she had in her stash. And, attached the tops to the bottoms with double ended screws.

I love the finish she did on each one, too.  She left some plain white, but added some dark wax on the others.  She left some of them as raw wood and let the wood grain show.  These little wooden trees add great texture to a mantel, side table, kitchen countertops, etc.  And, I personally think these could be kept out in your decor all winter long because I don’t think they look TOO Christmas-y.

I like to share little DIYs like this for any of you who enjoy making things.  And, for those of you who sell craft items, because I think these are pretty dang cute.  You can check out a lot of our other projects I have shared over the years here.
