Small Antique Haul this Past Weekend

My sister came for a visit from North Carolina this past weekend.  She was here only for a few days for a get together with the family.  She arrived late Thursday evening and had to leave early Sunday morning.  Being my only sibling, I hated to see her go.  Because we always have so much fun together.  One of the things we do when we are together is usually run around to thrift stores and antique places. This time was no exception.  And, I came home with a small antique haul this past weekend and wanted to share.

If you like these antique hauls as much as I do, check out my past ones.  I love seeing what other people find in their areas and how much they pay for things.  Let’s get on to what I found.

Small Antique Haul this Past Weekend

First off… do I need anything?  Absolutely not.  My home decor room is pretty full. But I love switching out decor on the regular.  Most of my items in my home decor room are things I have had for years that I picked up for a few dollars.  I don’t like to get rid of my antique finds because they never go out of style. Sometimes, I get tired of them so they spend time downstairs in that room.

Oil Lamp turned Electric

I found this vintage oil lamp turned electric at the first place we stopped.  I almost didn’t see it because it had a really dated lamp shade from the 80s on it.  It may have even had ducks along the bottom.  I remember them well.  Ha!  In fact, I probably had one like it in my first home that I bought and decorated.  This will look adorable with a silicone nightlight bulb that resembles a flame.  And, it will probably get tucked into the huge cabinet in the dining room, which in’t decorated yet.  The chicken coop has been getting all of our attention these days since the weather warmed up a bit.  This lamp was $20.

I did find a few lamps for sale online here!

Also.. you can get kits to do this yourself, which I think I’m going to do.  Because I have a really cool brass oil lamp that I love.

Vintage Basket

I love a great basket.  This one popped out at me because of the color and the shape.  Old baskets add back in the warmth to my decor with all of the white.  They also look great on top of cabinets if you don’t want to actually use them for anything. This basket will probably go inside that large cabinet as well and was only $10.  So, I couldn’t pass it up.

Vintage Flower Pot

I have a small collection of majolica flower pots and pitchers.  And, I love them.  I don’t know if this one is an actual majolica flower pot because it feels a bit lighter weight.  And it isn’t glazed on the bottom so it may be a knock off version of one.  But, it’ really pretty as it has lighter greens.  And… the best part.  It was only $8.

I love having a home that is eclectic with lots of different types of antique and vintage finds.  And, you already know that I love a great collection.  In fact, it is what makes each of our homes unique.  Are you an antique collector of all things, like me?

    • Mary, let me do some checking on my end, and if you haven't already be sure to check your spam and promotions folder, if you have one.

  • I’m a woods and white person too. My husband and I love to poke around in antique junk shops too… your style is always beautiful to me… keep treasure hunting… it’s just so fun!

  • Great finds and prices to! Do you mind sharing where you antique shopping in your area? I’m in the suburbs of Chicago and the antique shops/malls near me are ridiculously priced. You always find wonderful prices at reasonable prices.

  • Love seeing your hauls, Danelle! I can’t stop the thrifting and antiquing bug myself… it’s the thrill of the hunt and so fun… that’s why I rotate things out, too, and God knows, I learned to ‘play house’ when I was 3 or 4 years old, so I’ve been training a longgg time! Lol Thanks for sharing the goodies… that Majolica looking piece 😍wanted to jump outta the screen and right into my arms! 😂

    • I love knowing that there are others out there that rotate their items! I know that so often they get thrown in a box and forgotten.

  • Beautiful treasures as usual. But $8 for that planter makes my eyes bulge. Yippie!!! Looking forward to seeing the dining room dinosaur come to life. 🤎🤎🤎

  • I always love all your finds. And the prices are not like around me in the east coast. Especially liked the basket and planter. $8 was a total score! Ya done good. 😀👍🏻
