Here we are wrapping up 2023 already. That went fast! And, wow.. what a year! I dove into my analytics on our website and found the top 9 posts in the year 2023 according to you. I thought it would be fun to share them, in case you missed any of them. They include all of the posts from our website, since the beginning of time, so some of them are older which I loved seeing.
I don’t know about you, but I always have mixed emotions at the beginning of each new year. I think we all group years according to events. One simply has to say “2020”… and we all get a specific feeling because of how janky it all was. Ha! I truly think 2023 was just as strange for many different things going on in the world. And going into a new year, I always wonder what the “feel” of that year will be once we close it out. It almost creates a bit of anxiety for me NOT KNOWING what will happen. Anybody else? Even though we never know what tomorrow will bring. So I guess what I need to remind myself is that I need to keep focusing on one day at a time. And, being grateful for each new day that I have.
Let’s get into it….
This one kind of shocked me because it is such an old post. But it’s a goodie. We shared how we repurposed an old gun rack that we found for a few dollars. It turned out really cute and I still keep my eyes out for pieces like this at thrift shops.
Number 8 didn’t shock me at all because it is in the top every single year. It was the one on our inexpensive flooring that we laid in our old house. It’s actually the same flooring we have here in this home but we painted it here. Check out all of the posts about the flooring because I believe I answered every question I could think of in them.
Electrical must-haves were a big hit this past year. There must have been lots of folks remodeling or building like we were. I rounded up this list according to a poll that I took on social media. Check it out if you are looking to build in the future.
Our appliance pantry /coffee bar was a great hit this past year, which was one of our most recent projects. It was a fun one. It’s still not done as we have a few more things to add including a drawer on the bottom for coffee beans, the top needs another coat of poly, and I have a few accessories I’m adding soon.
As we were chatting about the upcoming 127 yard sales this past August, I decided to throw together a list of items we would be looking for. I shared the list over on a post and that was in the number 5 spot of all time.
Artificial baked goods are something I have used within my decor for years. I remember making my first artificial pie out of salt dough and painting it when my girls were young. I rounded up a bunch in a post a few months back. It was a hit.
I switch out my artwork in frames every season and love it. It’s such inexpensive way to get a new look. I shared it in this post.
Our antique haul from the Springfield Extravaganza this year was a very popular post. I love seeing other people’s hauls so I love sharing. Check it out if you missed it.
The number 1 post of the year 2023 according to you was our antique haul from the 127 yard sales. You obviously love the antique hauls as they made the top 1 and 2 posts ever.
I am looking so forward to sharing more with you all in the year 2024. And I have so many fun things planned with not only home projects, gardening, and home decor. But, Deb is getting back into her workshop and doing projects there, as well. I just love seeing her in her element as she is so happy creating.
