Thrift Finds in Brown County, Indiana, Part 2

We recently visited one of our favorite places, Brown County, Indiana – aka Nashville, Indiana.  We stayed in a little cabin that was so adorable.  It was our thing to do almost every single year with the exception of the last several.  Normally, we spend the days just hanging out and enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature.  Which we did in the evening.  But, we thought it would be fun this time to go to various thrift stores and flea markets during the day.  We haven’t done that in awhile and we had SO MUCH FUN.

I found a pretty big haul of some great items and already shared with you in another post.  But, we found a few more things and I just had to share.  That first day was the best….

Thrift Finds in Brown County, Indiana, Part 2

You know that I am always on the hunt for different things to add to the collections I already have.  Sometimes I will find something different, like those wooden dumb bells I shared in the last post.  I thought those were the coolest.  Anyway, I came across these vintage brass adjustable candle sticks and loved them.  I have seen them before, but these were at such great prices that I grabbed them.  New collection???  We will see.

Deb found these two metal file cabinet drawers.  She wants to use them in her shop for her sand paper.  She will have the drawers labeled for each grit which I thought was a fantastic idea.  And I grabbed this HUGE white basket.  I can think of so many different uses for it.

We stopped at a pretty sketchy flea market in Indianapolis on the way home, where I found a huge ironstone pitcher for a great price.  And a random light up pumpkin.   I love these painted white and it was such a great price, that I decided that I would add that to my decor this year.  It’s getting a makeover today.

Oh… we took a trip to Bloomington one day, ate lunch, and then went to an antique store.  There was a booth that was so full of stuff that I had a great time digging.  I happened to find two antique flower frogs for a few dollars each.  And, two wooden foldable rulers, also for a few dollars.  I have been intrigued by them since I was young.  We already had one, so now we have three.  Which I believe TECHNICALLY … a collection is three of something.  ????

Stay tuned to where these items wind up.  I will be sure to share once I find a place for them.   And, I am sure you will be seeing some of these items in our stories over on Instagram.
