Transformation Tuesday: DIY Dog Bowl Stand

Do you follow our other account over on Instagram?  Right now, it is named Deb and Danelle’s Cottage.  The name of it will change sometime because we want to come up with something a lot more clever.  It is the place where Deb shares all of her projects.  She has shared most of the Trashed Tuesday (now called Transformation Tuesday) pieces.  Make sure you check out all of her projects.  I, of course, shared them over here as well.  So take your pick.  ????  I linked a few of the projects below.  She does such a great job.

The update to the outdated mirror was probably one of my all-time faves.  You can click here and see every single one of the projects.  This past week she decided to make a dog bowl stand.  So, let me show you what she came up with!

Transformation Tuesday: DIY Dog Bowl Stand

We grabbed some metal dog bowls in the size we wanted.  And, Deb basically built the dog bowl stand around them.  She keeps all of her scrap wood because she can always use them for something.  So she ended up using pallet wood for the entire base and she glued together a few 1 x 4s for the top.  And, of course, traced around the dog bowls and cut out the holes for those.

After attaching all of it together, she added some block style legs and a pretty applique to the side to dress it up a bit.  And then did one of our paint techniques that we use quite often to make a piece look distressed.  I have a few posts on that technique, if interested.  They are here and here.  It’s so simple.

Since I am so into loving our homes we live in, I think things like fancy dog bowls are a must.  If it is something I will be looking at every day, it’s nice to like what I see.  Even with every day items like this.

Several of you said you were going to try this project.  Please make sure to tag me in any social media posts and better yet, email me a photo.  I would love to see what you come up with.

As always, thank you for stopping by.  And, I always hope that you get some inspiration out of our posts we share.

  • Just the cutest dog eating “table” (because we people) eat at a table and our dogs live like people ???? (actually, they live better than some people!). IF I had the tools and was talented I’d try to make Ruby one????. Instead, I will marvel at the talent of BOTH of you!!!! I can decorate, I just am a horrible “builder, driller” of things????????????????. Have a wonderful weekend????❤️ L~

    • This is the best dog food riser I have ever seen. I love all of the details you added too, it couldn’t be more perfect. Our two (goobers)) Golden retrievers, Charlie and Rylee would absolutely love it and it would be very special to have something Deb made! ❤️

  • Ivy is such a cute girlie!
I love this piece! Like I said on your post, I have one for my dog but the legs are so janky it doesn’t even sit level with the floor ????

  • ❤️ this project! Adding it to my hubby’s list of things to do! I want our boxer Reina to experience the fine dining she deserves and this project will allow that to happen!

  • Love following you guys and love the dog food “station”. ????
She’s very talented and fun to watch.
Have a great week girls and as always, thanks for making me laugh!
