I have been pulling out all of the trees to start getting our space ready for the upcoming holidays. And, also to give you guys a bit of inspiration for your own spaces. I have started adding cozy holiday decor here in the cottage hoping that I can start decorating over at the house soon. Did you see the bedroom? I shared that space a few days back. I know when I see people start to decorate, it gets my wheels turning. I recently found some budget friendly Christmas decor from Amazon. I wanted to share the links with you and different ways you could use them. If you noticed, I kept with my woods and whites theme. So everything will match what I already had.
I snapped the above photo after I shared all of these items on social media. So, they aren’t styled perfectly, but I thought it still looked pretty.
I grabbed these knit stockings to hang on one of our mantels this year. I will use them for the grandsons. You can get anywhere from 3 – 10 and they are so good for the price. I grabbed 7. We have 5 grandsons currently and a granddaughter on the way. We THINK we may have only one more in the future, so I didn’t want to be one short. They also come in different colors. You can hang these down a stairway railing, add them to a peg shelf, or even a large piece of furniture if you don’t have any of the above.
I knew I needed to personalize all of the stockings so I grabbed these wooden tags that I think will look perfect. I may use a little stain around the edges to make them a little more distressed. And, then use a simple calligraphy pen to write their names. You can use these as gift tags as well.
I used to have a tons of wrapping paper but I think it got ditched in the moves. It may be in storage, too. But, I loved the basic details of this brown craft paper and know it will look really pretty under our tree.
You can go ahead and call me a hoarder of life-like Christmas trees. I will admit it. This one is so dang cute. It is a little on the pricey side for a 3′ tree but it looks completely real. The ones that are life-like will never go out of style. This one would look cute on the porch as well. And could be left up all winter long. It comes with a burlap base but I like to tuck them in crocks, bowls, buckets, wooden boxes. The options are endless.
I LOVE this wooden bead garland. I grabbed it to mix in with winter greens on one of the fireplaces or use it on a tree. But, I decided that it may even look cute wrapped around the back stairway railing. I cannot wait to decorate that space.
Speaking of garland, I grabbed this long needle pine garland for the stairway railing. I grabbed two but think I will need a few more. It is life-like and is at a really great price. This would also look fantastic draped on the mantel, around a window, or around a mirror. I had a garland around our window last year here in the cottage and loved it.
I LOVE these hanging rope bells. I want to add these to our newel posts on the stairway railings, along with the greenery. These would also look great on a peg or a hook in the kitchen, on a door knob, or on the side of a wreath on the front door.
Do you remember my greenery arrangements that I made last year for the front porch? I added some large cow bells that I grabbed from Pottery Barn and paid a lot of money for. Well, they now sell them on Amazon. So, I grabbed these large bells to compare and they are identical. Not only will they look great on the porch tucked in greenery, but they look pretty setting on a shelf, hanging on the side of a mantel, in a large wreath, etc.
Stay tuned for where I actually use all of this. I will for sure share over on social media and here as well.
