Christmas Garland on the Stairway Landing

Every year, my little hometown has a Historical Society Christmas Open House and Home Tour.  This year, the House on Winchester will be a part of it, along with a few others!   ????  If you have been following me from the very beginning, you already know our home was built in 1945 by an attorney.  According to the locals, this was THE HOUSE of the time.  Along with being an attorney, I hear the couple liked to entertain. ????

Several people have approached us saying how much fun they had in this house.  They were either here as adults during the parties or out back as kids playing basketball on the previous court.  Lots of people in this little town have great memories here.  So when the Historical Society asked us to be in the home tours, it was something we thought would be nice to do.  (We have a nice moment every now and then…???? )  Not only will the community get to see all of our renovations, including the kitchen, bathroom, and entryway,  but the entire house will be all decked out for Christmas.  I’ve kind of hinted around to you many times that I decorate using both fresh and faux evergreens, evergreen trees, and white lights.  That’s it!  I keep it simple.

Christmas Garland on the Stairway Landing

When we were in the midst of installing chippy porch railings as our stairway banister on the landing, I pictured this space decorated for Christmas.  I could just see garland draped between the posts.

With all of that being said, you can imagine how excited I was when Lynch Creek Farm reached out to me recently to see if I wanted to do a little collaboration project.    The farm in Washington state started out as a hobby with the purpose to keep their three kids out of trouble by giving them jobs around the farm while attending school. ????  They started out with an organic vegetable farm and to this day sell their produce and flowers at the second largest farmers market in the state.  They sell dahlia flowers in the spring and summer months and evergreen decor during the holiday season.  What better timing to do a little ditty with them, huh? ????????‍♀️

They have a great selection of fresh evergreen wreaths, centerpieces of different varieties and evergreen garland.   I KNEW immediately that I NEEDED the Christmas Cedar Garland.  AND, I knew EXACTLY where I wanted to hang it, too!

The people at Lynch Creek Farm have been excellent to deal with.  If you are ready to get your greens up in time to enjoy for the holidays, get your order in.  They sent out my fresh greens exactly when they said they would were literally hung within minutes of me opening the box.  ????  I LOVE it!

What do you think about the greenery garland on the stairway landing?  It’s just as I had it pictured in my mind!

I cannot thank you enough for stopping by and as always, I pledge my love!

Buh bye now, said in an old lady’s voice that can’t stop looking at her fresh evergreen garland
